In 2006 I began collecting a series of street photography images of found collage textures which later became known as the Accidental Archaeology series. These photos consist of images of ripped and torn layers of weathered and decayed bill posters and advertising materials.
A few years after this, in 2008, I made a short series of small, postcard sized works inspired by these photos which were called the Tiny Torn series.
However, it was some time until I returned to making collage works in this style, at first to be included in the RAW:Artists Showcase at Sydney University, and then latter as part of the Some Assembly Required exhibition.
