Papering Over The Cracks

I have been collecting for a while now. Just off the main streets or in the alleyways, near construction sites, railway underpasses or around abandoned shops. Always on the lookout for walls covered by layers and layers of posters that have been exposed to the elements for an extended period of time. Sometimes they have been torn down and others times they have been covered over, only to start the whole process once again. Drenched by rain and then baked in extreme sunlight making the paper warped, brown and brittle.

This is just a small part of my collection. Some of these photographs have been featured before in my books Accidental Archaeology #1 & Accidental Archaeology #2, but most are appearing here for the very first time.
