This work marks another change in direction in my art making process, albeit perhaps a bit of a subtle one.
This piece is a lot less “crowded” than most of my work up to this point, as I have used less individual elements to create the composition. I have also began to limit the colour palette. That is, I have used mostly black and white images with sparse use of colour. And I have also introduced these solid geometric shapes, in this case rectangles and circles, into the piece.
All of these elements become quite a bit more important in my work over the following years.
