In 2001 I created a series of thirteen small collage works under the title of Growing Displeasure that were sent to New Zealand as part of the Baker’s Dozen International Collage Exchange.
After this series was complete though, I wanted to keep exploring some of the themes and techniques that I used in making Growing Displeasure. As a result I made a further three works called the Sinister Ambiance series, the name coming from a phrase someone had used to describe my previous work.
